  • How can I get to the venue?

    The venue is accessible by car and is near several train stations (see Venue/Lloc). We have arranged for a shuttle bus that will pick up guests from this location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/yykVtEgiBwgQBF9u9

  • How do I RSVP?

    We have now closed RSVPs. If you have any last minute changes, please contact Paul or Aina as soon as you can.

  • What language will the wedding be in?

    We’ll try our best to make the whole wedding as bilingual as possible (Catalan and English), and we will provide translations for the speeches.

  • Can I bring a plus one?

    We've worked really hard to create a celebration that includes as many friends and family as possible. Unfortunately our budget is not infinite so that means we cannot invite everyone. We ask you to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

  • What is the dress code?

    Our wedding is a formal event but, as you know, we are not very formal so we’d like you to dress how you like! We are not expecting you to adhere to any specific dress code. Any type of fashion and self-expression is welcomed. The wedding will be an opportunity to mix our cultures. Some Scots will be wearing kilts but you don’t have to be Scottish to wear one! If you’re interested in hiring a kilt, let us know as we have a discount with a kilt shop in Edinburgh.

  • Is there a gift registry?

    Your presence is the best gift, and we really hope you can make it there on the day so please do not feel obliged to bring anything. We have everything we need for our home, so we kindly ask for no physical gifts. If you really want to give us a present, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be greatly appreciated.

  • Are kids welcome?

    Due to guest number restrictions, we are only able to extend the invite to the children of close family.

  • Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

    Our ceremony and reception will be held outdoors in the lovely Mediterranean sun. In the rare case that the weather turns, we have an indoor alternative.

  • What time does the ceremony start?

    The ceremony will be in the afternoon. We will confirm a specific time later on.

  • Is it okay to take pictures with our phones during the wedding?

    Yes, do feel free to take pictures throughout. However we ask you to refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony.

  • My invitation does not say whether I'm invited to the ceremony or only to the reception?

    As in all Catalan weddings, all guests are invited to the full event: ceremony, meal and reception.

  • How will updates be communicated before the wedding day?

    When you RSVP, we will ask you to provide us with your email address and phone number. Most communications will be made via email but closer to the date we might send some general comms via Whatsapp.

  • What should I see and do while I'm in Catalonia?

    Font de la Canya is located in el Penedès, a region known for its vineyards and cava production. Apart from taking in the lovely landscape, there is plenty to do: cava and wine tours, culinary tours, walking and biking routes, and much more. You can find information here: www.penedesturisme.cat

    Visit Vilafranca, famous for its long tradition of castells (human towers) or Sitges, a lovely coastal town. The venue is not far from Barcelona (40 min drive), one of the most vibrant and beautiful cities in the world, with an extensive cultural offer.

    You won’t leave hungry from our wedding, but we still recommend you explore the country’s food scene, you won’t regret it.

  • Where should I stay?

    The venue is fully booked for accommodation. However, there are many options available nearby. Below are some hotel suggestions in Vilafranca which is a 20 minute drive away, but there are also plenty country house rentals nearby.

    The town of Sitges, which is a coastal town 27 minutes away by car, also has lots of options.

    In case you'd like to stay in Barcelona city, which is 46 minutes away by car, we will be arranging for a shuttle bus to and from the wedding.

    A causa de les restriccions en el nombre d'assistents, només hem pogut convidar canalla de família propera.

  • Puc portar un acompanyant?

    Ens hem esforçat molt per crear una celebració que inclogui tants amics i família com sigui possible. Malauradament, el nostre pressupost no és infinit, la qual cosa significa que no podem convidar a tothom. Et preguem que no portis cap acompanyant a no ser que sigui algú que hagi rebut invitació.   • Com he de vestir?

    La boda és un esdeveniment formal però, com ja sabeu, nosaltres no ho som gaire. Ens agradaria que vingueu vestits com vulgueu! No esperem cap dress code en especial. Qualsevol tipus de moda i expressió personal són benvinguts. El casament serà una oportunitat per unir les nostres cultures i tradicions. Hi haurà gent que portarà kilt (faldilla escocesa). No cal ser escocès per portar-ne i tothom en pot portar! Si esteu interessats en llogar una kilt poseu-vos en contacte amb nosaltres ja que tenim descompte amb una botiga a Edimburg.

  • Hi ha llista de regals?

    La vostra presència és el millor regal, i esperem de tot cor que pugueu assistir. Si us plau, no us sentiu obligats a portar res. Tenim tot el que necessitem pel nostre pis, així que us preguem que no porteu regals físics que seran una mica difícils de portar de tornada al Regne Unit. Si realment voleu fer-nos un regal, apreciarem contribucions de diners per a la nostra lluna de mel.

  • El casament és a l'interior o a l'exterior?

    La nostra cerimònia i festa se celebraran a l'aire lliure sota el sol del Mediterrani. En el cas poc probable que el temps es giri, tenim una alternativa a l'interior de l’hotel.

  • A quina hora comença la cerimònia?

    La cerimònia serà a la tarda, cap a les 14h. Confirmarem l’hora més endavant.

  • Està permès fer fotos amb els mòbil durant el casament?

    Sí, si us plau, feu fotos tantes fotos com vulgueu pero us preguem que no en feu cap durant la cerimònia.

  • On hauria d'allotjar-me?

    L’hotel està completament reservat. No obstant això, si us voleu quedar a dormir, hi ha moltes opcions a prop. Deixem aquí algunes suggerències d'hotels a Vilafranca, però també hi ha molt oferta de cases rurals per la zona.
